The 701 is ready
for duty right out of its box. It can be mounted
in minutes with either a 3 or 4 bolt

specifics on each pattern. Once installed, the
701 will automatically operate from dawn to dusk
for up to 5 years without any additional
intervention.

The Model
701 is the world's most advanced, fully
integrated solar-powered LED
three-nautical-mile (5.4km) navigation
light. It installs in minutes, is
completely self-contained and requires no
maintenance or servicing for the life of
its power storage pack (up to 5 years).
Long life
and maintenance/servicing free operation
The 701 uses an array of ultra-bright
LEDs (light emitting diodes) as its light
source. LEDs are shock and vibration
proof and tested to last up to 100,000
hours (27 years of operation) with very
little variation in output. Other than
replacing the battery pack approximately
every five years, the 701 will operate
flawlessly with no additional servicing
or maintenance.

Compact, rugged,
solid-state construction
The 701 is completely unitized in a
small, hermetically sealed housing; there
are no external battery packs or solar
panels. The 701 also features rugged
high-efficiency solar panels, a
marine-grade aluminum housing, a
virtually indestructible polycarbonate
lens and solid-state internal
electronics. Due to its unique
construction, the 701 will withstand many
years of harsh environmental conditions
including submersion, vibration and
intense sunlight. |

The 701
can be programmed via infrared remote
control to produce ANY flash pattern
required in the world today.
An Authorized Distributor can also adjust
its intensity/autonomy levels so that the
unit will perform reliability in
locations of higher latitudes (above 55°
North or South) or in areas with poor
solar conditions. Please call for
requests. Originally designed and
built under contract with the U.S. Coast
Guard, the 700 Series are the first
lanterns using light emitting diodes
(LEDs) as the light source to enter the
U.S. Navigational Aid System.

Solar-powered, self-contained and
completely sealed, the Model 701 has been
used around the world for marking
navigation buoys, port and harbor
entrances, breakwaters -- any marine
application requiring a marker light of
three nautical miles of visibility.
The
solid-state electronics within the 701 are
intelligent. Using microprocessor control, the
unit:

turns on at dusk and off at dawn

all battery voltage levels

extremely accurate flash character

temperature compensation for optimal
battery charging

discharge using a low battery shut-down

The 701 is
available in five colors that meet international
chromatically requirements for marine lighting:
green, red, amber, white and blue. The unit can
be ordered in from the factory with any flash
pattern required in the world today. In addition,
using an optional infrared remote control, the
user can:
